Which Wholesale Platform Golf Shops Actually Use

Written by Sawyer Frank | September 1, 2026

Every B2B wholesale ecommerce platform working with brands and the retailers they sell to in this category will tell you it is the leader. That claim is worth exactly as much as the measurement behind it, and usually there is no measurement behind it.

Here is one that none of us conducted. Circana runs the annual membership study for the Association of Golf Merchandisers and asks every pro shop respondent the same question about the technology platforms they use at their facility. The 2025 wave was fielded online from October 15 to November 18, 2025, with 274 respondents from AGM's membership database.

What golf shops reported

The question, verbatim, was "What other technology platforms do you use? (Check all that apply)". Figures are the percentage of respondents naming each platform.

RepSpark, 72 percent in 2023, 78 percent in 2024, 80 percent in 2025.

Golf Genius, 78 percent, 75 percent, 78 percent.

NuOrder, 38 percent, 48 percent, 50 percent.

Faire, 10 percent, 18 percent, 17 percent.

Elastic, 3 percent, 5 percent, 7 percent.

None of these, 7 percent, 7 percent, 5 percent.

Response bases were 367, 320 and 274.

Because respondents could check more than one answer, these are adoption rates rather than market shares, and they do not add up to 100. A shop running both RepSpark and NuOrder counts in both rows, and many do.

How to read it honestly

RepSpark was the most named platform in each of the three waves and grew in each one, from 72 to 80 percent. That is the headline and we are glad to have it.

Three things sit alongside it that are worth stating plainly.

Golf Genius is level with RepSpark at 78 percent, and it is not a competitor. It handles tournament and event management, which is a different job from wholesale ordering. Reading the table as a two horse race between RepSpark and Golf Genius misreads what each tool does.

NuOrder grew faster than we did in absolute terms. They added 12 points across the period, from 38 to 50 percent, against our 8. We are well ahead and the gap is narrowing, and a brand evaluating platforms deserves to know that rather than hear only the leading number.

Elastic more than doubled, from 3 to 7 percent, off a base small enough that a handful of shops moves the figure. Growth rates on small bases are unstable, and that applies to anyone's numbers including ours.

What this does not measure

Adoption is not performance. Nothing in this table says anything about order accuracy, fulfillment speed, inventory reliability, or whether the people using a platform like it. A widely adopted tool can still be a frustrating one. This is a measure of presence in the channel and nothing more.

The population also has a shape worth knowing. AGM respondents skew toward green grass and private club facilities, 71 percent private, with most located in the Southeast and only 12 responses from Off Course specialty operators. So this describes platform adoption in green grass and private club golf retail, not golf retail as a whole and certainly not wholesale generally. Circana's own methodology note adds that small sample bases should be read for direction only.

Why adoption matters anyway

For a brand deciding how to reach specialty golf, the platform a shop already has open is the shortest path to an order. A buyer who logs into a system every week to order from other brands does not need to be persuaded to learn a new one. They need to find you where they already are.

That is the practical use of this table. It is not an argument that the most adopted platform is the best platform. It is a map of where the buyers in this channel already are, drawn by someone with no stake in the answer.

Online survey of the AGM membership database fielded October 15 to November 18, 2025. 274 respondents completed the survey. The platform adoption question carried a base of 274 in 2025, 320 in 2024 and 367 in 2023, Year End respondents only. Earlier waves in 2023 and 2024 were conducted by Golf Datatech. Figures reflect a multiple response question and are adoption rates, not market shares.

Disclosure. RepSpark is a wholesale platform and appears in this table. We did not commission, design, field or analyze this study, and we have published every platform's figures as reported, including where a competitor grew faster than we did.
